Blues Peer Anniversary Book - a collector's item for 40 years of music history

Challenge

Blues Peer wanted a book that breathes the soul of forty years of the festival: sturdy, timeless and with a look and feel that is right down to every detail. A handy format, matte look, pages that fall open nicely and a finish that elevates the book to a true collector’s item. That was the bar.

Our approach

Working closely together, we determined the entire technical execution. From material choices to binding methods, every decision contributed to the desired experience. We chose a hardcover with sewn Swiss binding and open spine, finished with colored yarn for extra character. The matte paper supports the photography and gives the 340-page book the necessary tranquility and tactility. The blue foil print on the cover is the subtle but powerful finishing touch.
